The MIMMA (Museo Interactivo de la Música de Málaga) is a barrier-free cultural space where visitors are surrounded by sounds: sounds and instruments that can be seen, listened to and touched.

The MIMMA ( Museo Interactivo de la Música de Málaga ) is museum enhancing a high level of participation of the visitor (interactive). This is a unique project in Europe , by its dimension and the variety of its exhibits; one of the largest collections in our continent (more than 300 instruments from different times, countries and cultures) are housed there. It has been conceived like a great cultural space where visitors are surrounded by sounds. In addition, an intense cultural and musical programming is carried out throughout the year.
The Sala Muralla de la Marina , inside this venue, is exhibiting from the 1st of December of 2005 to the 8th January 2006 "25 years of Pop in Radio3" where several samples of photographies, pósters, records, books, fanzines and other materials multimedia on the diverse manifestations of the Spanish pop music for the last the 25 years and on the importance of Radio3 like cultural mass media of this time. In this exhibition, in addition to the usual showcases, it has been chosen to develop several audio-visual and sonorous modules performing ultimate technologies:
Modules of audioguides. System of earphones placed all about the exhibition that, as a audioguías and through a brief explanation, introduce the visitor in the history of the pop music during the last 25 years.
Interactive slate, videoclips and interviews of the time can be watched. This system allows the visitor browse different sections.
Individual "home cinema" through special glasses: where videoclips of la "movida" can be seen.
Station Singstar/ Playstation.2. Visitors will be able to sing, individually or in group, the songs that made a time.
The Sala Muralla de la Marina is a barrier-free space, as are all premises in this Museum: corridors are very wide and the permanent exhibition halls feature full accessibility for wheelchair users: informative panels offer information in Braille and most of the exhibited musical instruments, can be touched, listened to and have little "cubes" that also provide information in Braille about the instrument. Modules with earphones allow visitors to listen to the different instruments: these modules are located at a convenient height so that children/short persons and wheelchair users can reach them without any problem.
The Museum shares building with a municipal parking lot: the accessible entrance (at level) is located in the entrance the Parking Puerto Plaza Marina, from this access to entrance of the Museum the way is level and no longer than 20 metres (the entrance by the Larios Street is by means of several steps). There is an adapted toilet, located at the beginning of the corridor, in the reception area.
