Healthy Living at Sol Andalusí: a high-quality wheelchair accessible complex offering superb outstanding services in the Costa del Sol.

Sol Andalusí is situated just 15 minutes away from the city of Málaga, in the beautiful Guadalhorce mountain valley near the charming town Alhaurín de la Torre: a popular destination on the Costa del Sol for residents and holidaymakers. A new road network - as well as Sol Andalusí's own private transport services - puts everything within easy reach: beaches of the Costa del Sol and Malaga international airport are only 15 minutes away.

In the heart of Sol Andalusí you find the majestic U shaped Sol Centre: a health, fitness and leisure centre rolled into one. From the Plaza Central there's level access to shops (mini-market, kiosk, ATM), the a la carte restaurant, the buffet restaurant, the piano bar, tapas bar, business centre, library, cinema and 380-seated auditorium. The Fitness Centre (with personal trainer) and the heated semi-Olympic indoor pool (featuring a hydraulic hoist) have level access too from this central square. Dance evenings, cultural events and fiestas in addition to regular classes of subjects like yoga, art, Spanish and cookery are organized by the full-time entertainment manager. The whole complex is wheelchair accessible and adapted toilets are available in all public /common areas (reception, bars, restaurant.) and all entrance doors to these facilities are no less than 90cm wide.

Sol Andalusí's accessible health and beauty spa offers total relaxation & well-being. Treatments include sauna, steam-bath and floatation tank; massage, yoga, acupuncture and physiotherapy.

There are 7 adapted 1 bedroom apartments (60 square metres) located on both side wings of Centro Sol building while the 3 adapted studios (30 m2) are located in the central area. The main panoramic lift is located in this central wing: door width is of 80cm, knobs are at a height of 112/114 cm and there's a grab rail. There are four other lifts, two in each of the side wings (100cm wide x 230cm deep). One bedroom apartments have a terrace (sliding doors, 5cm high frame), one bedroom (help button), kitchen equipped with dishwasher, washing/drying machine, microwave oven, ceramic hob, extractor, fridge & freezer, sitting-room and adapted bathroom equipped with roll-in shower, shower grips, transfer bars and help button. Main entrance shielded door to each apartment has 90cm clear width while the ones inside have no less than 82 (some apartments have sliding bathroom/kitchen doors). Studios offer the same accessible facilities as the apartments, but don't have a terrace, neither separate bedroom. They all are air conditioned (hot & cold air), feature fire detection and protection, cable and satellite TV and broadband Internet connection.

The complex offers permanent residence or holiday only stays.

There's nothing to worry about: room service, nursery service, a home cleaning service and home grocery and laundry services are available. Residents can also count on 24-hour medical facilities on site (multilingual professionals) and a stand-by ambulance for emergencies (in collaboration with DKV Insurance) is available. One just has to relax, enjoy a stroll under the palm trees in the 130.000 m2 of accessible subtropical gardens dotted with three big lakes, which are connected to each other by streams, and take it easy.

Outdoor facilities also comprise two swimming pools, tennis courts, paddle courts and a 9 hole golf course for private use of the residents (four superb golf courses are within a few minutes drive).

Thanks to its unique position between the sheltering hills and the sea, Sol Andalusí enjoys an excellent climate all the year round. Winters are benign (average temp 15 degrees) and summers are not too hot (average temp 25 degrees). And although there are over 3000 hours of sunshine a year, a gentle breeze makes the heat constantly bearable.
