Three restaurants providing accessible facilities for PMR and offering menu cards in Braille and gluten-free menus for Celiacs in central Asturias.

Patricio Sánchez runs three restaurants: "El Llagar de Titi", "El Capricho de Titi" and "El Mesón La Nozana". He has taken special care to make them three accessible to wheelchair users.

"El Llagar de Titi", opened its doors to the public in 1.999, it is a Grill-Restaurant located in Granda, (Siero) at a ten minutes drive from the city of Oviedo. The building is constructed on an old traditional cider cellar (named "llagar" in the local dialect) from which still the water well is conserved. Architectonic barriers were eliminated when the building was renewed and sufficient clear space is provided among tables to make moving easier. In the open parking area reserved and signalized parking bays for wheelchair users are available, curb cuts to sidewalks and ramps to avoid steps when accessing the restaurant and bar are available too. There are, of course, adapted toilets. There's a children's playground on one of the sides of the building (rear part, looking from the road) where swings and slides are adapted for wheelchair users. There are menu cards in Braille and gluten-free menu cards for Celiacs.

In Oviedo downtown, near the Campoamor theatre, "El Capricho de Titi" is both a restaurant and a wine & tapas bar, offering menu cards in Braille and gluten-free menus, dishes and tapas for Celiacs. Although there are two steps to access the entrance, a small ramp has been installed: the dining room is accessible also by ramps and an elevator is available to access the adapted toilets.

"El Mesón La Nozana " is a Grill-Restaurant located in Viella (Siero), taking the old road from Oviedo to Santander (just by Lugones): it accessed by means of ramps and has adapted toilets too. There are menu cards in Braille and gluten-free menu cards for Celiacs.

The jury of the I Prizes of Accessibility of ASPAYM Principado de Asturias has awarded the Prize in Leisure and Tourism Category to this outstanding private initiative of Patricio ("Titi") due to his commitment with the design for all.
