Valencia has become an enormously attractive destination for national and international tourism, a trend that is set to continue in the medium to long term. The strengthening and diversification of the city's tourist attractions is backed by a profound cultural heritage, a wonderful gastronomy and first class recreational facilities. It is not by accident that the city has witnessed the greatest tourist growth in the last decade and is the seventh most popular national tourist destination based on number of visitors.
The ISO 9000 family of international quality management standards and guidelines has earned a global reputation as the basis for establishing quality management systems. This means what the organization does to fulfil the customer's quality requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of these objectives. After being evaluated by the audit team of AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification) the Valencia Tourism Bureau has obtained this certificate. One of their goals has been improving the services and information available at their website www.turisvalencia.es.
