Descubre Madrid is a guided walking tours programme offering visits through the city's most interesting places. Some of these tours have been specially designed for impaired people.
With its Descubre Madrid (Discover Madrid) programme the Madrid Municipal Tourist Board hopes to introduce growing numbers of people to the history, art, architecture, literature and legends of the city.
The following guided tours have been specially designed for impaired people with the collaboration of the ONCE (National Blind Org) the FESORCAM (Madrid 's Deaf People Org) and PREDIF (PRM National Org): bookings for any of these visits should be made through these organizations.
Blind and visually impaired visitors:
-"Alrededores del Palacio Real a través del tiempo"
The Royal Palace , its surroundings and neighbourhood through time.
Meeting point: Plaza Mayor, 27 (Centro de Turismo de Madrid).
Time: 11:00 h.
Dates: October 21st, November 18th and December 16th.
-"Leyendas del Viejo Madrid"
Legends of Old Madrid
A visit which will let you get to know most popular legends in the city through streets, squares and popular characters.
Meeting point : Plaza de la Villa.
Time: 11:00 h.
Dates: October 7th, November 4th and December 2nd.
Deaf and hearing impaired visitors:

When Luis XIV grandson, Felipe de Anjou, arrived to Madrid in 1701 he brought with him the French style and likes both in the cultural and fashion trends. Emblematic city buildings and areas as the Paseo del Prado, Puerta de Alcalá, Museo del Prado, Jardín Botánico and the final Works at the Palacio Real, were made under his reign.
Meeting Point: Paseo de la Infanta Isabel, 1 (Ministerio de Agricultura).
Time: 11:00 h.
Dates: October 15th, November 12th and December 10 th.
