We all have heard so many topics about the Canary Islands: "The Fortunate Islands", "eternal spring", "sun insurance", "the best climate in the world",etc. And many of us have heard and got to know about Kurhotel Mar y Sol: a tourist resort/complex in Los Cristianos - South Tenerife Island- offering a quality holiday in the sunshine to all guests, regardless their capabilities and abilities.

The Spanish-style construction, built on two and three levels, accessible to people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users (lifts) is settled around the swimming-pools and palm tree central patio.

Available accommodation ranges from studio and apartment to apartment superior, all of them featuring accessible premises for wheelchair users: balcony or terrace, living room, wheel-in kitchenette with fridge, balcony or terrace, bathroom with roll-in shower.

The restaurant is, of course, accessible, and special diets are served on request.

There is a team of activity organisers and physiotherapists working to entertain and offer several activities and fitness' program to everyone: leisure, cultural, sports, island tours and excursions (by means of accessible buses ) that can be enjoyed by all. In addition, a wide range of therapies and cures to choose from is available at the Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre Teralava: you can select your personal option or let Teralava therapists make up a plan for you.

What about the beach? The seafront promenade is just 300 mts from the hotel, but you might like to use the free transport to the beach Mar y Sol is offering twice a day. The Playa de las Vistas has turned into one of the most accessible beaches in Spain thanks to the works carried out by the Arona Council: sunshades and sunbeds on wooden decking (suitable for wheelchairs) go all the way to the sea, roll-up walkways that reach from the promenade up to the platforms and accessible showers and toilets . (Disabled guests who want to use these facilities can get the European Key totally free at the reception of Marysol by leaving a deposit).

A free sea-bathing service for impaired people is run by the Red Cross lifeguard and volunteers team. The service (including amphi-buggies) must be previously booked.

In order to provide a total well-being, safe and relaxed feeling, guests are provided with every and all facilities: accessible transfers to/from the airport can be booked when making a reservation.
