Discover Madrid. Guided Tours designed for Disabled Visitors.
The City's Tourist Board organises guided tours for people with physical, hearing and visual impairments. Disabled people who would like to discover Madrid and its stories simply have to sign up for any of the routes proposed by the Tourist Board as part of the Discover Madrid programme.
These are some of the options proposed as part of the guided tours offered by the Madrid Tourist Board in July, August and September 2007 for people who are blind or visually impaired, have hearing or physical disabilities or reduced mobility.
Visits for people with reduced mobility/physical disabilities.
During the visits, obstacles and architectural barriers have been avoided to the most possible extent. Wheel chairs must be requested for the visit beforehand.
- El Madrid de las Letras (Literary Madrid) There's a whole geography of major Spanish writers in the city.
