
A site is labelled in relation to one, two, three or four types of disability, once its disabled access7facilities have been verified by trained assessors members of The "Tourisme et Handicaps" Association: validity of labels lasts for five years and can be renewed after being checked.
The association works towards a nation-wide harmonisation of the scheme and does the necessary work to develop the standards for accessibility. The Ile-de-France CRT (regional tourist board) is a member of the association.
