Toledo is one of the Spanish cities with the greatest wealth of monuments. Known as the "city of the three cultures", because Christians, Arabs and Jews lived together there for centuries, behind its walls Toledo preserves an artistic and cultural legacy in the form of churches, palaces, fortresses, mosques and synagogues. This great diversity of artistic styles makes the old quarter of the capital of La Mancha a real open-air museum, which has led to it being declared a World Heritage Site in 1986.
The recently opened Centro de Recepción de Turistas Toletvm (the city's visitors centre) has launched a new tourist attraction: a double deck bus tour named as "Toletvm Bus" consisting of two different trips "Toletvm lanzadera" y "Toletvm panorámico".
"Toletvm lanzadera" joins the AVE train station with Centro de Recepción de Turistas Toletvm and the Old Quarter, while "Toletvm panorámico" is a bus tour around the city by means of a fully PRM accessible double deck bus featuring a ramp and reserved space for wheelchair users. Audioguides are available too in eight languages. In addition to several daytime tours a nightime one will run during Summer and high season.
